Weekly Beef Export Sales 10/08 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 278,700 pieces for 2026 were down 15 percent
from the previous week, but up 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for China (121,200 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 15,300 pieces), Mexico (68,800 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 1,900 pieces), Italy (33,700 whole cattle hides), Brazil
(25,100 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 900 pieces), and South
Korea (15,100 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 11,000 pieces),
were offset by reductions for India (400 pieces) and Taiwan (100 pieces).
Exports of 293,000 whole cattle hides were up 24 percent from the previous
week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were
primarily to China (141,300 pieces), Mexico (45,100 pieces), South Korea
(40,700 pieces), Thailand (24,900 pieces), and Italy (11,000 pieces).
Net sales of 15,700 wet blues were reported for 2026. Increases primarily
for India (4,700 unsplit), Vietnam (3,300 unsplit), Italy (3,300 unsplit,
including decreases of 100 unsplit), Mexico (2,000 grain splits), and
China (900 unsplit), were offset by reductions for Guyana (100 unsplit).
No net sales of other excluding wet blues were reported for the week.
Exports of 117,600 wet blues were up 5 percent from the previous week, but
down 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were
primarily to Vietnam (38,800 unsplit), Italy (29,500 unsplit), China
(12,400 unsplit), Hong Kong (9,300 unsplit), and Thailand (9,200 unsplit).
No exports of other excluding wet blues were reported for the week. Net
sales of 183,300 splits reported for Vietnam (175,000 pounds) and China
(49,600 pounds), were offset by reductions for Mexico (41,200 pounds).
Exports of 350,300 splits were to Vietnam (175,000 pounds), China (174,600
pounds), and Mexico (800 pounds).
Beef: Net sales of 13,000 MT for 2026 were down 11 percent from the
previous week, but up 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
were primarily for South Korea (4,600 MT, including decreases of 600 MT),
Japan (2,400 MT, including decreases of 500 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), Canada
(1,200 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), and Taiwan (600 MT, including
decreases of 300 MT). Exports of 11,900 MT were down 6 percent from the
previous week, but up 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to South Korea (3,700 MT), Japan (2,700 MT),
Mexico (1,600 MT), Taiwan (1,100 MT), and Hong Kong (600 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 26,900 MT for 2026 were down 24 percent from the
previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
primarily for Mexico (19,100 MT, including decreases of 900 MT), South
Korea (3,400 MT, including decreases of 700 MT), Japan (2,300 MT,
including decreases of 200 MT), China (1,200 MT), and Colombia (1,100 MT),
were offset by reductions for Canada (2,200 MT). Net sales of 400 MT for
2027 were for Japan. Exports of 32,800 MT were down 6 percent from the
previous week, but up 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to Mexico (16,500 MT), Japan (4,200 MT), China
(2,300 MT), South Korea (2,200 MT), and Colombia (1,900 MT).
